This is so timely!
I watched the pope yesterday on TV doing his thing on the xmas service, and I was just thinking that he was a perfect example of "Heathenish customs, Popish superstitions." mentioned in E. Woodwards mail(I mean Pamphlet--an earlier form of mail).
Also, the remark by E. Woodwards that, "since they cannot do *nothing*, they do worse than nothing" is still true.
